Our company, Creative Balance Films LLC, is an expression of the very ideals I believe in, which is, within every creative endeavor, there needs to be a creative balance of talent. Realistically, reaching success in any creative field is not without collaboration. With the inception of Creative Balance Films, I have been able to align myself with many wonderful and creative “above” and “below” the line talent and have been able to bring together a “team of professionals” on which to rely.

Erich.MettlerErich Mettler was executive producer, VP of finance and partner at Moody Street Pictures. Erich was also director of finance / station CFO for WLVI-TV and WCWN-TV. Previously, he had been director of finance for CBS Television Stations in New York. He has held other finance positions at Infinity Broadcasting, American Radio Systems and Price Waterhouse Coopers LLC.

Mettler holds a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Bentley University and is a certified public accountant. Mettler was on the Governors Board for the NE/Boston Chapter of the National Television Academy and was also a Board Member for the Filmmakers Collaborative.

He was also on the Film Advisory Committee for the DIYDS National Youth film festival organized by the Community Art Center in Cambridge.

Terre’s note – Erich and I met when Erich was with Moody Street Pictures. We not only hit it off immediately, but I have become to rely on Erich’s attention to detail, his accounting and organizational skills, as well as his ability to review contracts and finances with the production, investor protection, and profitability in mind. I’m proud to say that Erich and I have walked through every detail of filmmaking together.
Dino is an innovative casting veteran. Among his accomplishments as a Casting Director are originating and heading MTV’s casting department (scripted series), two pilot-to-series projects for ABC / Carsey-Werner, the critically acclaimed independent feature films “The Lost,” based on the popular novel by Jack Ketchum, and “Baby” an Asian gangland drama set in the mid-eighties.

He has worked for Universal Studios, Showtime, NBC, and FOX. Other projects include the independent film, ‘Harrison Montgomery’, starring Academy Award Winner Martin Landau and Melora Walters and the Sony-Tristar feature, ‘I Know Who Killed Me’, starring Lindsay Lohan, Julia Ormond, and Neal McDonough.

His commercial work includes spots for McDonald’s, Sprite, Twix, Bushmill’s Whiskey and Gold’s Gym, among others. Dino also owns and runs AuditionTape, Inc.

Terre’s note – Dino is not only a gifted casting veteran but also shares the mindset of an actor and respects the craft. He’s a pleasure to work with and demonstrates his passion for a project with his honest opinions and genuine sincerity. A true professional.
With over 30 yrs. in the entertainment industry as a performer, actor and Producer, Don brings a special perspective and understanding to CBF. Don has appeared as “DONDO” (a character he developed while at the famed Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Clown College) all over the world, entertaining thousands in over 50 countries and in five languages.

Some of his most notable performances were at The White House, the closing night of the Boston Garden, a CBS special with Dick Van Dyke, the Ryder Cup, OpSail 2000, and MIT. After returning to the States, he formed The New Vaudeville & Circus Company, a themed booking agency and event production company.

He subsequently became the first Certified Special Event Professional in New England. Clients such as, Verizon, MIT, Bose, and PepsiCo, have all benefitted from his expertise of creating “successful memories that last a lifetime”. However, Don’s greatest pleasure is giving his time to numerous charities both as a project manager and performer. Don was also the Associate Producer for the film “Developing Sheldon”.

Terre’s note – Don and I met when we were 14. Our love of performing and comedy became the basis of a friendship that has lasted for over 43 years. I am proud to call him a member of the CBF team and more importantly, a friend.
